Map every stop
Provide complete addresses for homes, condos, storage facilities, donation stops, and key pickups. Confirm route limitations, tolls, bridge travel, truck access, and parking.
Check community and building access
Ask about gates, vendor entry hours, elevators, docks, certificates of insurance, truck size, and floor protection. A missed reservation can create waiting time or a second trip.
Explain the carry
Driveways, parking restrictions, elevators, interior courtyards, and remote units can create long carries. Give the estimator photos and approximate distances rather than describing access as simply easy or hard.
Plan storage carefully
Confirm unit size, climate control, elevator and cart availability, truck approach, access hours, locks, insurance, and whether the mover or facility controls the inventory.
Build a weather buffer
Heat, lightning, heavy rain, and tropical weather can affect safety and timing. Keep closing papers, medicine, chargers, water, and essentials with you in case the schedule changes.
