Names and registration details
Confirm the mover's legal name, trade name, physical address, telephone number, and applicable state or federal registration information. The payment recipient should make sense with those names.
Addresses, dates, and services
Review every pickup, stop, destination, packing date, loading date, delivery arrangement, storage service, and specialty task. Correct missing or approximate information in writing.
Price and change terms
The paperwork should explain the estimate type, rates, included services, possible additional charges, payment timing, accepted methods, deposit, cancellation rules, and how added work is authorized.
Inventory and condition
Review item counts and condition notations before signing. Photograph important property and keep your copy of any inventory or high-value declaration with you.
Valuation and claims
Make sure your selected valuation option is recorded. Keep the claims procedure, deadlines, exclusions, and contact information. Ask questions before the belongings are loaded, when choices are easier to change.
Do not sign a blank or materially incomplete document, and do not rely on verbal promises that contradict the written agreement.
Verify it yourself
Requirements can change. These official sources are the best place to confirm current information.
